The three knob version has a different voicing than the 2 knob version, a little more bottom heavy, a little less sustain but more 'round' sounding. The tone knob makes for more versatility being able to dial in many fuzz textures, starting off dark and thick gradually (clockwise) to cutting treble tones with a sizzle.
