This adjusts the amount of signal at the beginning of the signal chain. This is an important feature for fine tuning the input and quickly adjusting to higher output pickups or active electronics without overloading the compression circuit. The result? Smooth, perfect compression on any instrument. The Attack and Release controls are the same as on a studio compressor, they control how fast or slow the compressor comes in and out, respectively. This allows for fine tuning for the perfect amount of sustain and/or squish. The Gate control adjusts the level of the noise gate. The gate in the MI Audio Compressor is super fast and transparent, killing noise without cutting off signal or chopping up your tone. There is also an internal trimmer for adjusting the release time of the gate. The Volume and Sustain controls are standard, with plenty of extra volume for boosting your signal and plenty of compression on tap, from transparent sustain to super squishy lovliness.
